Robert Steven “Hoss” Sutty, 89, of West Burlington, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born Oct. 8, 1932, in Springdale, Penn., he was the son of Stephen Lawrence and Mary Sutty. He married Patricia Ann Howell on Sept. 14, 1984, in Burlington. She died March 15, 2017. Hoss proudly served in the Marines during the Korean Conflict. He worked all over the United States in construction for 40 years. He was a member of the VFW and Carthage Lake Club. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, landscaping, his cats and loved his time spent with his grandkids. Survivors include his two children, Brenda Jeanne VaLeu, Debra Ann (Tony) Leuschen both of Burlington; two grandchildren, Zachary Leuschen and Rachel Leuschen, both of Burlington; and godchild, Kelly Benz. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and ten brothers and sisters. The funeral service for Hoss will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9 at Lunning Chapel. The Hamilton-Walters Marine Corps League will conduct military rites. Interment will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8 at Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends. A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society or local VFW.&nbsp;&nbsp;
