Gary A. Russell, 64, of Burlington, died Thursday, August 7, 2025, at his home. Born December 30, 1960, he was the son of Floyd J. and Bonnie Russell.
He worked for Champion Spark Plug for over 20 years.
Gary was very well known and loved. He had a plethora of friends and was a great step-dad.
He is survived by his wife Connie Russell; three step children; Dustin Wagy (Jennifer) of Casper, WY, Matthew Wagy (Sarah) of Encampment WY and Megan Ronner (Darrin) of Gladstone, IL; siblings, Craig Russell, Larry Russell of Fort Madison, IA and Lorrie (Dennis) McGinity of Burlington; ½ sister Sharon Cameron of Plattsmouth, NE and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Russsell and sister Pamela Wightson.
There will be a celebration of Gary’s life held on Friday, August 15th starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Outpost.
According to his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
