Julie A. Jacobs, 82, of Burlington, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, at the Klein Center in West Burlington.  Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Mediapolis.  Private family burial will be in the Wapello Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Building Bridges (City Hope Foundation) in memory of Julie.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservices.com. 

Julie Ann McKinney was born on Sept. 3, 1942, in Burlington, the daughter of Robert “Bob” and Helen Maxine (Earnest) McKinney.  She was a graduate of Wapello High School.  Julie was united in marriage to Job Keltner, Jr., and to this union they had five children.  In 1971, Julie was united in marriage to David Jacobs.  Julie most recently worked at the Jack and Jill Grocery Store in Mediapolis and Farm Service Elevator in Mediapolis.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mediapolis and Wapello, Eastern Star and the Girlfriend Coffee Club which met at Apron Strings.  Julie enjoyed music, especially listening to old country music, attending all of her kids’ sporting activities and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye men’s and women’s basketball fan.  Most of all, she dearly loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Julie will be deeply missed by her children, Denise (Greg) Johnson of Burlington, Michelle (Kenny) Stone of Wapello and Shane (Brenda) Keltner of New London; step-daughters, Trish (Scott) Schaefer of Morning Sun and Marcy (Craig) Heckenberg of Fort Madison; six grandchildren, Ashlee (Grant) Whipple, Clay (Olivia) Baker, Boe McLaughlin, Lukas (Danielle) McLaughlin, Jessika (Bryan) Townsley and Victoria Keltner; nine great-grandchildren and siblings, David (Joellyn) McKinney of Wapello and Karen Johnston of Wapello.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dave; two sons, Michael Keltner and Scott Keltner and brother-in-law, Tom Johnston.
