
Jack Goodlove, 89, of Burlington, passed Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born Nov. 9, 1935, in Bettendorf, he was the son of William Paul and Violet Marie Stinson Goodlove. In 1956, he married Judith Behrens, they later divorced. On October 23, 1965, he married Mary Joyce Stuckel in Galesburg, Ill. She preceded him in death on April 20, 2015.
Jack served his country with the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1959. In 1959 he acquired his apprenticeship to become a Tool and Die Maker. He worked for Swan Engineering for 12 years. He later went to work as a Tool and Die Maker Foreman at J.I. Case from 1972-1997.
Jack was an avid Iowa Hawkeye Fan, he transitioned seamlessly to the WNBA and the Indian Fever became his team. He was a "Jack" of all Trades. Being in the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, and boating were his passion. He loved spending time with his Family. A man who valued his relationships with them as the most important thing in his life.
Survivors include his son, Dr. John David (Emma) Goodlove Stader of Bettendorf; two daughters, Karen (Dean) Brobston and Patti (Brent) Krieger both of Burlington; five Grandchildren, Nicholas (Rachel) Stader of Bettendorf, Jenna (Luke) Vollmer of Rogers, MN, Lauren Hayden of IL, Ryan (Nicole) Burke of Charleston, SC, and Kaden Brobston of Burlington; and six Great Grandchildren, Adaline, Addison, Eliza, Jack, Kira, and Nina; and sister in laws Bernice Goodlove, Marvell Stuckel, and Mardi Vogt, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; three children, Michael Paul Goodlove Stader, Stevie Jones, Jeff Burke; and three siblings, William Goodlove, Gary Goodlove, and Janet Yehle.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street Burlington.
The funeral service for Mr. Goodlove will be 2:00 PM Friday, May 9th, 2025, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street, Burlington with Fr. Jake Greiner officiating. Full military honors will be rendered by the Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard. A time of food and fellowship will be held in the community room at Prugh Funeral Service following the funeral service.
Burial will be 12:00 PM Monday, May 12, 2025 in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport.
