Catina "Tina" Joann Williams Johnson, 50, of West Burlington, died Monday, March 6, 2023, surrounded by family.

Born Sept. 6, 1972, in Chicago, she was the daughter of Joe and Gloria Cooper Williams. On March 3, 1995, she married Troy Lee Johnson in Burlington. He died Oct. 19, 2020. 

Tina graduated from Burlington Community High School.  

She was a hard worker and started her first job when she was 14 years old. She worked for Vista Bakery in the production department for many years.

Tina loved sports and enjoyed cheering on her favorite teams the Bears, Rams, and Bulls. She enjoyed cooking, listening to music, especially R. Kelly, and sewing.  She loved to play Intelligent Qube on the PlayStation with her kids. Most of all Tina loved to spend time with her friends and family.

Survivors include her mother, Gloria Williams of Burlington; son, Rasheim Twine Williams; daughter, Totiana Williams; three grandchildren, Elijah Herman, Royal Twine, and Za'Terryon Parks; four brothers, Anthony (Latonya) Williams, Joe Williams, Jr., Rodney Williams, and Kipling Williams; sister, Altovese (Willie) Williams Roberson of Burlington; special aunt, Terri Cooper of Luxora, Ark. several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, one brother, five uncles, and four aunts, two nephews, Phillip Dominique Jones and MarQuis Rashaad Jones, niece, Avon Williams. 

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street.

The funeral service for Mrs. Johnson will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Prugh Funeral Service, with Sharice Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.  

A memorial has been established for Cancer Research.
