Marian Ruth Leasure Siebert, 89, of Burlington, died Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington. Born Sept. 23, 1935, in Peoria, Ill., she was the daughter of Earl Glen and Bertha Mae Hand Leasure. She married Donald Knopp, and together they had two daughters, Debra Mae and Wanda Sue. She later married Jesse Carnes and together they had a daughter, Mary Ann. She later married Dale Siebert and enjoyed many years until his passing.  

Marian worked for Ghirardeli Chocolate factory in California. After she moved to Iowa, she worked for IAAP and worked for a catering business. 

Marian was of Baptist faith. She was an excellent cook, seamstress and taught her girls everything she knew. She enjoyed watching westerns and would try to help others when she could. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren and was grateful to be in their lives. 

Survivors include her daughters, Wanda Sue Vierra of Burlington, Mary Ann (David Bonden) Carnes of Industry, Ill., and Debra Mae Day of Calif.; three grandchildren, Johnny Arguello, Joshua Borden, and Katie Borden; one great-grandchild, Bobbie Ann; many nieces and nephews, and extended family members,  Shirley Bowen, and Charlotte Leasure and her sons Donald and Adam (Samantha) Leasure.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Eddie, Donald, and William Leasure, two sisters, June Nichols and Donna Wellington.

A private service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
