Beverly Joan Sutton, 90, of West Burlington died Monday, Feb. 13, 2023, at The Klein Center.

Born June 10, 1932, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Albert John “Nick” and Geraldine Leyes Bouquet.

Beverly graduated from Burlington High School. She married Dean Kenneth Sutton on Sept. 17, 1950, at Grace United Methodist in Burlington. He died Aug. 3, 1986.

Beverly was a member of Divine Mercy Parish. She enjoyed reading and ceramics. She loved gardening and being outdoors. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her children Joan (Joe) Staub of Burlington, Ken (Rene) Sutton of Mediapolis, Nancy (Cy) Wood of Dallas City, Ill., Dale (Debbie) Sutton of Burlington, and Lynn (JJ) Bell of Washington, Ia.; eight grandchildren Tracy, Eric, Nick, Kyle, Brandon, Grant, Hailey, and Coleton; 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

The service for Beverly will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, at Lunning Chapel with the Very Rev Father Marty Goetz officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.

A memorial for Burlington Public Library has been established.
