
Ruby Ann Sink, 78, of Burlington, died Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born Oct. 15, 1944, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Roger and Mildred Cable Hoambrecker. She married Tommy R. Sink on Dec. 21, 1960, at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Gant in Wapello.
Ruby worked many years for National Research and Winegard along with helping her son Brian at Burlington Pallet.
She was of the Christian faith.
She loved raising and showing horses, raising dogs and enjoyed going out dancing with her husband, playing cards, entertaining friends, and watching hummingbirds. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family. Family was the most important part of her life.
Survivors include her husband Tommy R. Sink of Burlington, one son Brian (Sara) Sink of Danville; four grandchildren, Cody Rogers, Matt Rogers, Ryan Sink, and Brendon (Becca Whittemore) Sink; exchange granddaughters, Sofia of Sweden, Helene of Norway, Nargiza of Kyrgyzstan, Eszter of Germany and Alicia of Spain; one sister Joyce Doyle of Burlington; sister-in-law, Shirley Cramer of Florida, brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Margie Sink of Danville; good friends, Bart and Ellen Orth and Sandy and Gilbert Burgus and her two poodles, Sunshine and Loralei.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Tommy A. Sink and brother Rodney Hoambrecker.
The memorial funeral service for Mrs. Sink will be 12 p.m. Saturday, March 18th at Lunning Chapel. Pastor Dean Graber will officiate. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.
According to her wishes, cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
