Roy Burk, 92, of Burlington, died Monday, March 14, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Ill. Born Sept. 1, 1929, in Davenport, he was the son of Hugh and Elizabeth Hoambrecker Burk and was raised by his stepfather, Harry Ward. He served in the Navy for 9 1/2 years. He married Leona Oetken on Feb. 20, 1954. Together, they celebrated 68 years of marriage. Roy was an auto mechanic and enjoyed camping and being outdoors. Survivors include his wife, Leona Burk of Burlington; six children, Sandra (Dan) Morris, Jannette (David) Knutsen, Tara Lamphier, David (Paula) Burk, James Burk, and Jarrod Burk; 24 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond Ward and Earnest “Ernie” Ward; sister, Harriet Crawford; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cathy Burk; one grandson; one brother, Ronald; and two sisters, Marie and Eudora. The funeral service for Mr. Burk will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 18 at Lunning Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the funeral services. Cremation will follow the funeral services and has been entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel. Inurnment will be held Monday, March 21 at Aspen Grove Cemetery.&nbsp;&nbsp;
