
Lois Darlene Polson, 90, of Burlington, died Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at the Danville Care Center.
Born November 20, 1931, in Lonetree, Ill., she was the daughter of Ovid Floren and Helen Anna Larkins Polson.
She attended Gladstone Schools.
Lois worked for 28 years at Champion Spark Plug.
She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish. She enjoyed gardening, walking, reading, and bell collecting.
Survivors include her son, Steven (Kim) Polson of Burlington; granddaughter, Jamie (Tony) Lambert of Kansa City, Kan.; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two brothers, Jack (Linda) Polson of Gladstone, Ill. and Paul Polson of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Frankie, Jerry, and Richard Polson, and two sisters, Doris Rowland and Mary Lukens.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.
The memorial service for Ms. Polson will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Deacon Gary Johnson officiating. A time of food and fellowship will be held in the community room at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home following the service.
A memorial has been established for Divine Mercy Parish.
