Bobby Jack Moyer, 86, of Burlington, passed away at 10:50 a.m. Thursday, Sept.16, 2021, at Unity Point Health-Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. He is now with his savior, Jesus, and reunited with family.

Bobby was born on Feb. 15, 1935, in New Boston, Ill. He was the son of Albert and Bessie Burtalo Moyer. 

He graduated from Burlington High School and served five years in the United States Army.

Bobby worked for the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant for more than 40 years.

He was a member of the Salvation Army and was a faithful gentleman who loved the Lord and his family. Bobby was a true Hawkeye fan. He was an avid fisherman who liked jokes and spending time on the Mississippi River. He also enjoyed motorcycles and boats.

Survivors include his brother, Jim Moyer of Elmira, Ore., and several nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two nieces, Donna and Jane Moyer; nephew, Charles; sister, Mary Herrera; brothers, Elmer, and John.

A private graveside committal will be held at Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
