Joyce L. Gibbs, 79, of Burlington, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at her home.

Born June 4, 1943, in Burlington, she was the daughter of John Frederich and Lena Emma Elliot Wirt. On Dec. 6, 1963, she married Ronald Lester Gibbs in Joyce's parents' home. He died Aug. 8, 2021.

Joyce graduated from Burlington High School in 1961 and then attended business school for banking.

She was a note teller for F&amp;M Bank and Trust for 42 years.&nbsp;

Joyce enjoyed quilting, cross-stitching, and remodeling. She liked to go camping and enjoyed watching the squirrels and other animals.

Survivors include son, Kurt Edward Gibbs of Tipton; daughter, Deborah L. Gibbs of Burlington; two grandchildren, Sarah (Collin) Stuefen of Tipton, and Kimber (Rachel) Gibbs of Burlington; great-grandchild, Phoenix Mitchell of Burlington.

Besides her husband of 57 years, she was preceded in death by her parents and sister Barb.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2023, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division St.

The funeral service for Mrs. Gibbs will be 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2023, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division St., with&nbsp; Pastor T.J. Rehak officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.&nbsp;&nbsp;
