Dustin Alan Jern, 34, of Davenport, Iowa, died Monday, May 20, 2024, at his home.
Born April 15, 1990, in Burlington, he was the son of Robert Jern Jr. and Traci Reid Morris.
Dustin was a mechanical genius, always building, rebuilding and tinkering with everything. He loved working on cars and trucks and enjoyed attending Old Threshers and time with his family.
He is survived by his daughter Teagan Cropp; father, Robert (Jennifer) Jern Jr.; mother, Traci Morris; step-mother, Kelley Jern; step-father, Scott Morris; maternal grandmother Dianne (Tom) Bonar; siblings; Devin (Amanda) Jern, Joseph Morris, Dylan Jern, Alli Jern, Abbi Jern, Alyssa Sly, Lyndzey (Cody) Schlueter, Jordan Sly, Ethan Sly, Owen Sly and Casady Sly; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and special Aunt Lisa Reid and “Nana” Cheryl Stewart.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Robert Sr. and Vera Jern and maternal grandfather Chuck Reid.
The funeral service for Dustin will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 24 at Lunning Chapel. Visitation with family will be from 2:30 p.m. until the time of service.
A memorial has been established for his daughter Teagen’s education.
