Robert Eugene Mohr, 47, of Yarmouth, died unexpectedly after a farming accident on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center.

Rob was born June 21, 1976 in Dubuque. As an infant he was adopted by Alan and Joanne Kinsinger Mohr. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1995 and continued his education at Southeastern Community College, enrolling in the Ag Program. Rob was united in marriage to Alison Buster on Oct. 10, 1998 in Burlington.

Rob’s focus in life was on the Lord. He was saved in his early 20’s and was baptized shortly after. He faithfully served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher and was also a founder of a church. Rob went on two mission trips, one to Mexico to help build a church and one to Honduras to help build a house and pass out Bibles. He was a spiritual leader for his family and was intentional about sharing his faith to others. He placed great importance on being a Christian, a husband and a father. His desire was for all to know the Lord as their personal Savior. Memorials have been established for Gideon Bible and Fellowship of Christian Farmers in memory of Rob.

Rob began his working career as an ag retailer and applicator. He later worked as a road grader operator for the Secondary Roads Department. Most recently, he obtained his insurance license and had a passion for selling Livestock Risk Management Insurance. With each job he worked, he also farmed. Rob loved to farm and raise cows, and he enjoyed hunting as well. He was a faithful blood donor and continued giving, even after his death, through organ donation.

He loved his family and cherished time spent with his two grandchildren. Rob was active in his children’s sporting events and enjoyed watching them show livestock at the county fair. He enjoyed talking with others and building relationships. Robert was a hard worker his whole life. He was very driven and self-taught, and he instilled these values in his children.

Rob will be deeply missed by his wife, Alison Mohr of Yarmouth; children: Wyatt (24) (Lauren) Mohr and their son, Reuben, of Rural Danville; Elliott (22) (Shannon) Mohr and their daughter, Gwendolyn of Rural Sperry; Hallie Mohr (20); Chett Mohr (18); Charlotte Mohr (15); and Marshall Mohr (10), all of of Yarmouth; his parents, Alan and Joanne Mohr of West Burlington; sister, Joy Mohr of Marengo; aunt, Freda Bumgarner of Burlington; parents-in-law, Mike and Kathy Buster of Burlington; and many other dear loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his Mohr and Kinsinger grandparents and his uncle, Gene Bumgarner.
