Rebecca Sue "Becky" Davis, 62, of Dallas City, Illinois, died peacefully at 11:00 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Arcadia Care of Aledo, Illinois, surrounded by her family.

Becky was born March 31, 1963 in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Herbert and Agnes (Morse) White. Her parents passed away when she was a young girl. She was adopted and raised by Ronald and Janice Myers.

She spent her early years in the Abingdon and Dallas City areas; attending Dallas City High School. She worked various positions within the service industry. She enjoyed crafting, cooking, and taking care of animals, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren. Becky never knew a stranger and was always one to lend a helping hand to those in need. She was of Christian faith and a member of The Moose Lodge in Ft. Madison, Iowa. 

She is survived by her parents: Ronald and Janice Myers of Dallas City; one daughter: Shasta (Tony) Heidbreder of Niota, one son: Jeremiah Thurman of Nebraska; grandchildren: Neveda (Colton) Gittings of Carthage, Victoria Pettett of Galesburg, Autumn Thurman of San Diego, Liam Heidbreder of Niota and Brielle Heidbreder of Niota; two sisters: Susie (Dick) Evans of Spaulding, Oklahoma and Krissy (Shane) Altgilbers of Keokuk and two brothers: Herbert White of Galesburg and Gary Stewart of Dallas City, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, in infancy.

Cremation has been entrusted to Banks & Beals Funeral Home.

The family has planned a Celebration of Becky’s Life from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the Dallas City Senior Center.

A memorial fund has been established for PAW Animal Shelter in Ft. Madison.
