The multi-jurisdictional drug busts that culminated in an FBI press conference last year are continuing into 2020.
Burlington police busted another alleged methamphetamine operation Friday (Jan.3) afternoon, stating in a press release the bust is part of the ongoing investigation into drug distribution.
Burlington police, with the help of the Davenport Police Department, located and arrested Lavelle Cortez Harris, 35, of Burlington at about 1:30 p.m. Friday in connection to the bust. He is charged on a federal warrant for conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine and is being held on no bond pending a court appearance.
Des Moines County Attorney Lisa Schaefer issued a stark warning to area drug dealers during the November press conference, warning the busts would continue for the foreseeable future.
