Warren "Butch" Mattoon of Burlington, died Monday, June 12, 2023, at his home in Burlington.

Born Nov. 5, 1944, in Burlington, he was the son of Warren L. and Mildred L. Webb Mattoon. On Nov. 19, 1966, he married Sharon J. Haley in Burlington. 

He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving from 1962 until 1965.

Butch was a member of the Cascade Boat Club, lifetime 40&8, and American Legion. He worked for the City of Burlington as a city electrician, and then later worked for Burlington Northern as a high-voltage electrician. Butch was a proud owner and operator of the Shamrock Tap until 2004.

Butch loved spending most of his time with his many friends and family, as they were all important to him.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon J Mattoon; two sons, Steven (Susan) Mattoon and Douglas Alan Mattoon; three bonus daughters, Tara, Haley, and Lacey; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren:

Butch was preceded in death by his parents and sister Karen Foulk and daughter-in-law, Amy Jo.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. with the family to receive friends Monday, June 19, 2023, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street.

The funeral service for Butch Mattoon will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Prugh Funeral Service. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.

Full military honors will be rendered by the Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard. 

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Shriners
