
Ronald L. Westfall passed away on March 9, 2022, at the age of 71 at his home in Argyle, Texas.
Born in Burlington, Iowa to Dale and Marjorie Westfall, he graduated from Burlington High School in 1968. His baseball skills positioned him as a freshman on the Iowa State University varsity team. A member and President of ATO fraternity, he graduated with a BA in 1972. He earned his MPA from SW Texas State in 1977. Ron spent 22 years in the US Air Force and National Guard flying RF-4 Phantoms. After leaving the active-duty military as a Lt Col in 1994, he joined the flight crews of Federal Express until he retired in 2013.
Ron was married for over 50 years to his high-school sweetheart, Regina Peters Westfall. He is survived by his wife Regina, daughters Angela Westfall Redland and Erin Westfall Roy, his sister Mary Westfall Dehner, son-in-law Joey Roy, granddaughters Alyson Redland, Kathryn Redland, Jillian Redland, and Madelyn Redland. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Patricia Ward and son-in-law Robert Redland.
Even though a failing heart took him away from this world, his love was a beacon of light for all in his family. His battle with serious medical issues in these past years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite many health setbacks, Ron was a hero to us in the end.
Arrangements are being handled through Mulky-Mason in Lewisville, Texas where his family held a gathering of close friends and relatives on Sunday, March 20, 2022.
