Delmar Lawrence McKay Jr. was born at home in What Cheer, Iowa, on January 31, 1937.&nbsp; He was the son of Delmar Sr. and Irene Beasley McKay.&nbsp; Delmar passed away at the Southeast Iowa Regional Home Health &amp; Hospice on June 1, 2024.

Delmar is survived by daughters Jene Miller, Raeanne Monk, and Lorie McKay. Son-in-law Dave Hines and sister-in-law Helen McKay; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his wife Rachel, son-in-law Randy Miller, and daughter Beth Hines.

Burial will be at 16 Cemetery in What Cheer, Iowa.&nbsp; A celebration of his well-lived life will be held at a later date.
