Norma Lucille Speedling Newton Niemann, 98, died in Tucson, Ariz., on Dec.17, 2021. She was born in Nashua, Iowa, on Oct. 25, 1923. Norma was the daughter of&nbsp; Sanford and Ina Speedling.

Norma graduated from Greene High School in Greene, Iowa. She married Norman Derril Newton on June 19, 1942, at the Little Brown Church in the Vale, Nashua Iowa.

Norma worked for Dr. C.V. Orr, as a dental assistant and then the Burlington Community School District, as a secretary. After her husband, Derril, passed away, she married Paul Niemann on Oct. 19, 1979, in Burlington. Paul and Norma moved to Tucson, Ariz., to enjoy their retirement.

Survivors include daughters, Sandra Newton and Marla Russell; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
