Margaret Ann Parker, 89, of West Burlington, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born July 3, 1936, in New London, she was the daughter of Fredrick Donald and Minnie Rebecca Ruby Dietsch. On July 10, 1954, she married Louie Burdette Parker. He died Dec. 31, 2008.

She graduated from Harmony High School in Bonaparte. 

Margaret worked for Fruehauf Inc. in Montrose for many years until her retirement.

She attended Bethany Lutheran Church. Margaret enjoyed sewing, tending to her flower gardens, feeding the birds and loved animals, caring for many strays. She loved spending time with her family. 

Survivors include her children, Tim (Sue) Parker of Fort Madison, Trudy (Larry Jr.) Wright of Fort Madison, and Twila (Larry) Nall of Bolingbrook, IL; six grandchildren, David, Jeannie, Lawrence, Trinity, Ken, and Nikki; nine great-grandchildren, Jade, Jinta, Declan, Eli, Noah, Ava. Finnley, Odin and Ember and significant other, Larry Olsen of West Burlington. 

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Paul and Donald Dietsch, and sister, Edith Jenkins.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street.

The funeral service for Margaret will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street with Pastor DaMisha McFarland-Pollock officiating.  Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the PAW Animal Shelter in Fort Madison and Special Needs Foundation in Burlington.
