Casey Aaron "CJ" Forrester, 30, of Burlington, died Monday, December 1, 2025, in a fatal car accident.
Born January 21, 1995, in Waterloo, IA, he was the son of Casey Aaron Forrester and Vicki J. Thompson. On March 21, 2014, he married Marta Willson in Stronghurst, Ill.
Casey attended West Central High School and played Varsity football. He obtained his GED at age 16 and entered into the Job Corp at age 17.
After his discharge from the U.S. Army, he worked as a table top dealer for the Casino and later worked for Riverside Casino.
He was a former Eagle Scout and enjoyed the outdoors; especially hunting and fishing. CJ loved to ride motorcycles with his friends. He was a very talented pool player and poker player and placed in multiple tournaments. CJ shared his love of D&D with his wife and often took on the mantle of dungeon master.
Survivors include his wife, Marta Forrester of Burlington; two sons, David and William Forrester of Burlington; his parents; sister, Midge (Dominic) Hayes of Ames and step-brother, Patrick Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chuck and Gail Forrester.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
A pool tournament will be held in his honor on Wednesday, January 18, 2025 at JoeDee's in Fort Madison.
