Beverly A. “Bev” Vaughn, 83, of Keokuk, formerly of Burlington, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022, at her home.

Born Aug. 18, 1938, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Clifford “Red” and Dora M. Brown Vaughn.

Bev graduated from Burlington High School in 1956 and Open Bible College, Des Moines, in 1959. She was employed by Iowa Cities Adjustment and B.L. Robinson of Burlington, Stearns Clothing in Des Moines, Thomas Truck and Castor of Rock Island, TPN Railroad and Sheller-Globe from 29 years in Keokuk. She retired from Methode Electronics in Carthage, Ill., in 2002.

Her early years in Keokuk saw her active in the Assembly of God church where she served as Christ Ambassador Youth Leader, a Sunday school teacher and in Music Ministry. She shared her passion for music at area care centers, singing and playing guitar with Harland Gamber’s “Over the Hill Gang” and Tri-State Bluegrass Band as well as solo performances at the Hamilton Illinois Senior Community Center.

She is survived by her special cousin, Julie Reusch of Burlington; special friend, Tatum Dorothy and her boys Cole and Avery from North Carolina; special friend, Ben Hendericksmeyer; and cousin, Barbara Collins.

According to Bev’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. Interment will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
