Edward Leroy Kuntz

Edward Leroy Kuntz, 71, of Burlington, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2022, at his home.

Born April 2, 1951, in Burlington, he was the son of Edward Henry and Eva Mae Tarrence Kuntz. 

He graduated from Burlington High School in 1970. 

Edward worked for many years as a dishwasher at the Holiday Inn. He was a jack of all trades and a general handyman. 

Edward attended Riverside Baptist Church. He was a tinker and enjoyed working with his hands. He loved to work on cars and renovate houses. He was referred to as being a "shade tree mechanic". Edward loved his St. Bernard dog and going on long walks. His favorite time of the year was Christmas. He would put his Christmas decorations up before Halloween. Edward loved his friends and family and enjoyed drinking coffee with his friends.

Survivors include four sisters, Rose (Chuck) Halverson of Monroe, Ga., Joyce (Robert) Cobretti of Burlington, Kathleen Goding of Mount Pleasant, and Carol Carpenter of Olds; sister-in-law, Myong-Suk Kuntz of St. Louis, Mo.; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by Francis Leon Kuntz.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

There will be no visitation or services.
