Renate E. “Renee” McDonald, 81, of Mediapolis, died Monday, Oct. 4, 2021, at her home.
Born Oct. 22, 1939, in Frankfurt, West Germany, she was the daughter of Arnold and Anna Klemm.
Renee worked at Sheaffer Pen until they closed. She was a member of Harmony Bible Church. She enjoyed crocheting blankets, sewing, and her cat, Cali. She loved her family dearly.
Survivors include two daughters, Amy (Jan McPherson) Williams of Mediapolis and Connie Webb of Davenport; one stepdaughter, Cindy (Brent) Stevens; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Sigrid Klemm of Germany; one niece; and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, David; one grandson, Delbert; and one brother.
The funeral for Renee will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8 2021, at Lunning Chapel in Burlington, with Pastor JudyAnn Morse officiating. Visitation will be from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Cremation will be accorded after the service.
