Bill was mechanically inclined, he owned and operated Lukens Repair Service and had a wrecker business. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, watching NASCAR and boating on the Mississippi River. Most of all, time spent with family brought him the most joy.

Also surviving is one brother, Wayne Lukens of Casselberry, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife MaryAnn, son Darrell in infancy, and siblings Margaret Lukens and Dale Lukens.

Per his wishes cremation has been entrusted and accorded to the care of Lunning Chapel.

The visitation for Bill will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2026, at Lunning Chapel where the family will meet with friends. A private burial will be in Carman Cemetery at a later date.
