John Edward McMillan, 50, of Burlington, died Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at his home.

Born Jan. 5, 1973, in Burlington, he was the son of Robert McMillan Jr. and Mary Ellen Norton McMillan.

John was a jack of all trades and a very talented mechanic. He was proud of his tattoos, loved his cats and spending time fishing but most importantly being around his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his parents, Robert McMillan Jr. and Mary Ellen McMillan both of Burlington; sister, Faylea “Fay” Augsberger; two brothers, Roger McMillan and Martin McMillan; two nieces, Dalaina (Tim) Burns and Samantha (Matt Seaney) Osborne; great nieces, Cheyenne Nichols, Alivia Burns, Lillian Morse and Laila Osborne; great nephews, Lucas Seaney and Timothy Burns Jr. and special friend Dawn Estes all of Burlington.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

A elebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
