Dianna Dickinson, 77, of Burlington, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.
Born April 20, 1945, in Leon, she was the daughter of Claude and Bernice Baker Brown. She was one of 10 daughters and loved being from a large family. On March 1, 1979, she married Charles Dickinson in Hollywood, Calif. He died on Feb. 4, 2019.
Dianna was a member of New Life Family Church. She loved Jesus with all her heart, soul and spirit and her purpose in life was to serve Him. She loved hosting bible studies and reading her bible every day. She loved and adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include four daughters, Dalena Ganakes (Mark) Larson of Sunrise Beach, Mo., Denise Ganakes of Camarillo, Calif., Danielle Ganakes (George) Harrison of Camarillo, Calif., Ashly Dickinson (Cody) Harkcom of Springtown, Tex.; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeannie Kuster, Claudia Rehman, Tina Brown, Kimberly Kineast and Jackie Brown all of Burlington, Jaye Talor of Santa Barbara, Calif. and Debbie Dotson of Dixon, Tenn.
Besides her husband of 39 years, she was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Marilyn Pilgrim and Linda Seitz.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
The celebration of life for Dianna will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2023, at New Life Family Church. A time of food and fellowship will be held at the Drake following the service.
A memorial has been established for New Life Church in Burlington.
