William P. “Paul” Mathews, 73, of Burlington, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, at his home.
Born Dec. 30, 1947, in Burlington, he was the son of Harry Edward and Alice Evelyn Sodergren Mathews.
He was an Air Force veteran, serving in the Vietnam War.
He worked for IAAP and later for J.I. Case until his retirement in 2006.
He attended Bethany Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his cousins, good friend Melanie Witt Purcell and
many of the PCM nurses and friends who cared for him for the last
several years.
There will be no formal funeral services for Mr. Mathews. Graveside
services and inurnment will be held at a later date next to his parents
in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
