Carol L. Parrott, 74, of Danville, died Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at her home surrounded by family.
Born Dec. 22, 1949, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Carl Walter and Mary Elizabeth Judd Wittstock. On April 28, 1967, she married Merle "Butch" Wallace Parrott. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2007.
Carol liked to crochet blankets for all the grandkids, attend auctions and most of all, she dearly loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include four sons, Adam Eugene (Karie) Parrott of Danville, Jeremiah Merle (Michelle) Parrott of Danville, Joseph Thomas Parrott of Danville, Daniel Carl (Andrea) Parrott of Burlington; three daughters, Brenda Kay Parrott of Danville, Shawn Christina (Aaron) Parrott-Phillips of Danville, Karen Elizabeth (Jason) Parrott-Gerdes of Kahoka, Mo.: daughter-in-law, Susan Parrott of Danville; 21 grandchildren: 32 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Bradley Carl Wittstock of Arbela, Mo.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, son, Matthew Parrott, two brothers, Lawrence and Dennis, and three sisters, Sharon, Beverly and Tammy.
A private graveside committal service for Carol will be held at Jaggar Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024 at 2 p.m. at her son Adam's house, 11735 Jimtown Rd. Danville, IA 52623. All family and friends are welcome to attend the celebration of life.
