James L. “Jim” Garnjobst, 87, of Burlington, died on Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, at his home. Born April 12, 1937, In Yankton, S.D., he was the son Jerome Geoffrey and Marjorie Kathryn Jordan Garnjobst. He married Virginia M. Martin on Oct. 5, 1963, in Burlington.&nbsp;

Jim is survived by his wife, sons Jordan M. Garnjobst and Joseph S.Garnjobst, and brother, Richard Garnjobst.

A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Carthage Lake Club. Memorials have been established for Des Moines County Conservation Southeast Iowa Regional Home Health and Hospice.
