Robert T. Critchfield, 70, died Thursday, June 6, 2024, in Mount Rest, S.C. He was known as Bob to his friends and Bobby to his family. 

He was born Jan. 8, 1954, the son of Edwin and Marjorie Critchfield.

He was a lifelong carpenter and skilled craftsman. He loved many animals over the years including horses and most recently a huge duck, a cat, and Minnie, his dog.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wendy; daughter Kathleen (Kit); his parents Marjorie and Edwin Critchfield; and brother Mike Critchfield.

He is survived by his siblings, Dennis (Lil) Taylor of Warsaw, Ill., Patty (John) Boyle of Burlington, Kathy (Tom) Wagner of Long Grove, Jonne Wongstrom of Cleveland, Tenn., and Jim (Christy) Critchfield of Cleveland, Tenn.; stepdaughter, Sonya Macfadzen of Florida; sister-in-law, Liz Root; Special Friends Pete and Kay Roach.
