Richard D. Hull, 80, formerly of Burlington, Iowa, died Sunday, May 11, 2025 at The Kensington in Fort Madison, Iowa.
Born on November 28, 1944, in Burlington, he was the son of Frank and Irene Jones Hull. He married Donna J. Jaeger in 1964. She preceded him in death on December 6, 2024.
Richard was a 1962 graduate of Burlington High School. For forty years he worked as an independent carpenter. Richard was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and enjoyed watching all sports. He also enjoyed watching western television shows. He was a handyman and could fix just about anything. Most of all Richard was a simple man who loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son Mark Hull of Burlington; four grandchildren: Noah, Alyssa, Brianna and Brian Hull; one brother and one sister. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Donna; son Brian Hull and one sister.
Per his wishes cremation has been entrusted and accorded to the care of Lunning Chapel. Burial will be held at a later date.
