Kirk Howard Watson Sr., 76, of Burlington, died Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at his residence.

Born Feb. 2, 1948 in Quincy, Ill., he was the son of Howard Andrew and Marie Louise Wellman Watson. Kirk graduated from Quincy High School and Culver Stockton College.

On Jan. 17, 1970, Kirk married Cathy Lynn Hines at First Christian Church in Burlington.

He was a salesman and retired from Fox Appliance. Kirk attended First Christian Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, watching baseball and football games. He loved the outdoors and traveling.

Survivors include his wife of Burlington; one daughter Elizabeth&nbsp; Watson; one son Kirk Watson Jr.; and five grandchildren .

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

The memorial service for Kirk will be 2 p.m., Saturday, July 6 at First Christian Church with Reverend David Yonker officiating.

Per his wishes, cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.

A memorial has been established for High Road School of the Quad Cities.
