
Vallas Milton "Mick" Albin, 69, of Gladstone, died Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.
Born August 25, 1955, in Monmouth, Ill., he was the son of William and Bessalea Rice Albin. He married Donna McGraw in 1976 and together they spent 49 wonderful years together.
Mick worked as a truck driver for 26 years. He also helped with the construction of the fertilizer plant in Wever.
Mick enjoyed watching sports; especially Illinois, Packers and the Cardinals. He liked solving puzzles and playing games. He was always there for his family and friends to lend a helping hand. But most of all, Mick loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Albin of Gladstone, Ill.; his children, Cheryl Albin and Scott (Lauren) Albin both of Burlington; four grandchildren, Kylie, Klairissa, Ryker, and Mira; five siblings, Inez, Suzanne, Terry, Candy, and Tim; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jerry, one brother, Bill and one sister, Linda.
Visitation will be from noon until 7 p.m. with the family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street.
