Christine Pomberg, 60, died July 24, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by friends and family who loved her deeply.
She was born on October 28, 1965. Christine grew up in a loving home in West Point, Iowa, where she shared her childhood with her sisters: Carleen and Shirley.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Bernice Pomberg, and her brother, Michael, who passed away in infancy.
She is survived by her sisters: Carleen (Ray) Krogmeier and Shirley (Jim) Evans, along with her nieces and nephew, who always felt she was more like a fun, slightly older sister than an aunt.
She found joy in the simple pleasures of life — golfing on sunny days, shopping for the perfect find, and thoughtfully decorating her home. She adored caring for her beloved dog, Bentley, who brought her daily comfort and companionship.
Christine’s life was also touched by the steadfast friendship of Janise, whose support and companionship were a source of comfort throughout the years and especially in her final days.
