Darrell Dwayne Fenton Jr., 64, of Peyton, Colo., died Aug.10, 2023. Darrell was born on May 25, 1959, to Darrell "Red" Dwayne Fenton Sr. and Judy Ann Fenton in Burlington.

Darrell went to Mediapolis Iowa High School and graduated in 1977. He went on to start his own business, Fenton Contracting, which he proudly ran for 33 years.

Darrell married the love of his life, Susan Koval, on Oct. 17, 1981, in Burlington.

Darrell loved hunting, fishing, boating, camping, and tinkering in his garage. If it was broken, he could fix it. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

Darrell is preceded in death by his father, Darrell "Red" Dwayne Fenton Sr., brother, Bradley Dwight Fenton, and nephew, Christopher Martin Fenton.

He is Survived by Susan Marie Koval; mother, Judy Ann Fenton; son, BranDen Christopher Koval (Lupe); daughter, Jacsmin Marie Koval (Josh); brother, Marty Christopher Fenton, and grandchildren, Anthony James Koval, Colton Alexander Koval, Donnie Red Koval, and Landon Michael Fluegel.

A celebration of life will be held on Sept. 23 from 12 to 4 p.m. at Jim's Neighborhood Lounge in Colorado Springs.

Another celebration of life will be held on Oct. 15 in Burlington. More details to follow.
