Susan Ronanne Diamond, 70, of Burlington, Iowa, died Monday, May 20, 2024, at her home.
Born on May 22, 1953, in Cheyenne, Wyo., she was the daughter of Mason R. and Edith J. Krusee Diamond.
Susan was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and directed choir there for many years. She attended the University of Hawaii and later received her bachelor’s degree from Iowa Wesleyan College in Music Education. For many years she was an elementary music teacher for Burlington Public School District. In her free time, she loved to play the piano and various instruments, loved singing, watching movies, traveling and attending concerts in the park. Susan grew up traveling the world with her mother and father while he served in the United States Air Force. While her father was on assignment in Hawaii she met her husband Rick Mehaffy, they later divorced.
She is survived by her three loving daughters and ten loving grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Per her wishes, cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel. No services will be held.
Burial will be held in Wheatland Cemetery, in Wheatland, Wyo.
