Micah Brett Taylor, 45, of Burlington, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at Southeast Iowa Regional Health Center, West Burlington.
Born Nov. 25, 1976, in Miami-Dade County, Fla., he was the son of Francis “Frank” and Cynthia Gray Taylor. He married Tammy Underwood on May 15, 2021.
Micah worked for Royer Body Shop. He was a believer in God. Micah was a people person and was always willing to lend a hand to help others. He was very generous with his time and talents, was very knowledgeable and strived to help rationalize situations for his kids and family. He was wise beyond his years and very humble.
Survivors include his wife Tammy Taylor of Burlington; his mother Cynthia Lee of Burlington; seven children, Alex (Terry) Anderson of Cedar Rapids, Samantha (Jim) Parsano of LaHarpe, Ill., Nick (Paige) Taylor of Denver, Colo. and Heaven Stacy, Tristan Anderson, Anya Anderson, and Akasha Anderson, all of Burlington; nine grandchildren, Rhyleigh, Jace, Bastian, Jackson, Joel, Xavier, Landon, Stella and Aden and half-brother Daine Taylor of Destin, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his father and two grandchildren, Carter and Eramae.
The funeral service for Micah will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at Lunning Chapel. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4 at Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends.
A memorial has been established for Des Moines County Humane Society.
