
Roxanne J. Spearman, 70, of Morning Sun, died Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the MercyOne Genesis Medical Center in Davenport.
Born March 3, 1956, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Harold "Jack" and Marjorie Jamison Wheeler. On March 17, 2008, she married William Neal Spearman in Las Vegas, NV.
She was a graduate of Morning Sun High School.
Roxanne worked for Walmart Transportation for over 28 years.
Roxanne's greatest joys in life were her family, her community, and sharing her love through cooking. A devoted member of her community, she gave her time volunteering with the local ambulance service, youth committee, Fourth of July Committee, and youth league over the years. Cooking was one of her greatest passions and a true expression of her love. She was known for her many classic dishes and found fulfillment cooking in school cafeterias, care centers, and local restaurants. Whether preparing a family meal or serving her community, she brought warmth and care to every table. Family was at the center of Roxanne's life. She cherished attending her grandchildren's sporting events, spending time with loved ones, and FaceTiming with her great-grandson. She also adored caring for her beloved dogs, Maddie, Bandit, and Charlotte, and her cat, Pinky. Alongside her husband, she enjoyed traveling and attending concerts, creating memories that she treasured throughout her life.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Spearman of Morning Sun; sister, Rosalind (Joe) Conrad of Iowa City; son, Jeremy (Ashley) Martin of Ft. Madison; daughter, Megan (Cisco) Silva of Morning Sun; six grandchildren, Adrian, Riley (Maggie), Nayareli, Dalton, Dekota, and Sadie; and great-grandson, Felipe.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The celebration of Roxanne's life will be 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the Morning Sun Community Center. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials have been established for the Morning Sun Community Ambulance and Morning Sun Hometown Pride.
