
Louise Ann Hemphill, 95, of Burlington, Iowa, died Friday Evening, October 24, 2025, at OakView Nursing and Rehabilitation in Burlington.
Born on October 19, 1930, in Oakville, she was the daughter of Lewis C. and Anna L. Carlson Jennings. On August 19, 1949, in Morning Sun, she married Gerald M. Hemphill. He preceded her in death on August 12, 2014.
Louise was a 1948 graduate of Burlington High School. She retired from working for IRC/TRW. Louise was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Burlington Eagles Club and Des Moines County Historical Society. She enjoyed her flowers and loved playing Bingo.
She is survived by her son Randy (Mary Jane) Hemphill of West Burlington, Iowa; four grandchildren, Shane Hemphill of Morning Sun, Mark Crooks of West Burlington, Jeff Crooks of St. Joseph, Mich., and Carolyn Sueppel of Iowa City; thirteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gerald and two sisters, Lois Breuer and Pauline Kraft.
A graveside service for Louise will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 31, 2025, at Aspen Grove Cemetery in the Garden of the Cross with Rev, Brooke Robbins officiating.
A memorial has been established in her memory for the Special Needs Foundation.
