James Rande Goodwin, 76, of Denmark, died on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.

Born, October 20, 1946, in Burlington, Iowa, he was the son of Virgel and Bernice Long Goodwin, and the big brother of Jana Rande Goodwin.

He attended Burlington area schools and graduated from Burlington High School in 1964.

Jim worked for Southeastern Community College as a welding instructor for over 30 years.

He was baptized at Lincoln Street Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant and recently attended Bethany Baptist Church in Keokuk.

He enjoyed horses from a young age. After his retirement, he loved driving for the Amish and traveling all over looking at this beautiful country.

Survivors include two daughters; Tammy Dingman of Burlington; three granddaughters, Kellie (Dan) Aney, Kourtney Hartman, and grandson Tim (Lauryn) Dingman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, and granddaughter Nichole “Nikki” Hartman.

The graveside funeral service and interment will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 27 at Aspen Grove Cemetery. Pastor Ken Barlow will officiate.
