Dean Keith Kemp, 73, of Burlington, died Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington. Born August 25, 1953, in Burlington, he was the son of Leon George and Dorothy Verona Younk Kemp. On June 6, 1998, he married the love of his life, Maureen Charlotte Mannion, in Troy, Mont. She passed away on February 25, 2026.&nbsp; Dean worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for many years. Dean loved spending time outdoors, including hunting, shooting, and fishing. He was a gifted woodworker as well and enjoyed building his own furniture.&nbsp; Survivors include three daughters, Monica Kemp, Leah Virginia (Byron) Droz both of Burlington, and Siobhan McNulty of Bend, Ore.; two sons, Aziel R. Kemp of Iowa and Nakoa Kemp of Burlington; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Turley of Burlington. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Alan Kemp. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street. Prugh Funeral Service is in care of the arrangements.
