Thomas D. Crossett, 81, of Burlington, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2023 at Southeast Iowa Hospice House of Burlington.&nbsp; A celebration of life gathering will be held at a future date.&nbsp;

Thomas was born on July 19, 1942 to Martial and Esther Stump Crossett in Wellman. &nbsp; He graduated from Brighton High School in 1961.&nbsp; Tom enjoyed spending time with his family, going to his daughters’, grandkids’, and great-grandkids’ sporting events, woodworking, carpentry, going to auctions, and watching any Big 10 sporting events he could find on TV, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes.

He is survived by his daughters, Julia (Phillip) Phelps of Houston, Texas and Mindie (Stephen) Smith of Burlington; six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Duane Crossett of Columbus Junction and Mildred (Gary) Thomas of Washington.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother; two brothers and a sister; and twin sisters in infancy.

Memorial donations may be directed to the family.
