Joseph Michael Raschendorfer, 66, of West Burlington, died Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Health Center in West Burlington. Born November 7, 1959, in Burlington, Iowa, he was the son of Edward Frank “Boots” and Jacklyn Lois “Jackie” Raschendorfer. He married Kelly Jo Newberry on November 20, 1982, at St. Mary Catholic Church in West Burlington.
Joe worked for Cessford Construction in the rock quarry for 29 years. He attended Divine Mercy Parish and was of the Catholic faith.
He loved his motorcycles, working on cars, mushrooming, deer hunting, and was the master at grass mowing. Time with his grandchildren was most important.
Survivors include his wife, Kelly Raschendorfer; children, Shannon Raschendorfer (Kenneth Nelson), Jessica Wasson (Matt Stutzman), Joey Raschendorfer (Sara Todd) and Khileealyson Smeltser; six grandchildren, Caleb, Kayson, Jayden (Evan Williams), Gage, Jordan and James and two great grandchildren, Wesson Cash and Henley Kay.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother John Raschendorfer.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Parties Unlimited Rental Center, 425 Valley St., in Burlington on Tuesday, March 24th where the family will greet friends.
Cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
A memorial has been established for the family.
