Scott Parker, 57, of Burlington, died Friday, March 22, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born March 23, 1966, in New Mexico, he was the son of Rudolph Frank Parker and Janis Lassiter Mecham. On May 25, 1990, he married Kathy Ann Gapen in Okeechobee, Fla. 

Scott worked in road construction for 35 years. 

He was a U.S. Marines Veteran, serving from April 15, 1987 until Sept. 26, 1989. Due to his service, he became disabled after serving at Camp LeJeune. 

He attended Faith Christian Outreach Center (FCOC) in Mount Pleasant with his family. Scott enjoyed walleye fishing with his children and grandchildren. Scott loved the outdoors and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Kathy Ann Parker; four children, Hannah (Blake) Stephens, Jackson Parker, Bennett Parker, and Noah Parker; four grandchildren, Esmae, Parker, Lilah, and Wrenley Stephens; his mother, Janis Mecham; one brother, Shannon (Sarah) Parker; six sisters, Kimbal Parker, Robin (Bill) Phillips, Laurie (Felipe) Williams, Doni (Wade) Barnhill, Diana  (Mark) DuBois, and Holly (Zack) Faller, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and twin daughters, Ava Grace and Olivia Joy Parker.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.

There will be no services at this time.

A memorial has been established for his children.
