
Maureen Kemp, 77, of Burlington, died Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at her home in Burlington, Iowa, surrounded by her family.
Born April 2, 1948, in Weehawken, New Jersey, the daughter of John and Doris (Divine) Mannion. On June 6, 1998 she married Dean Kemp in Troy, Montana.
Moe was a very talented and kind person. She was a great cook and owned several of her own restaurants. She later went on to work a variety of different jobs, including Community in Action and Midwest Eye Care. Moe had an eclectic mix of interests and hobbies, ranging from ballet to flight lessons. Her kindness and zest for life will be missed, but her memory will continue through all who love her.
Survivors include her husband, Dean Kemp of Burlington; daughters, Siobhan McNulty of Bend, Oregon, and Dannica McGrath of the Philadelphia area, Pennsylvania; step-children, Monica Kemp, Nakoa Kemp, Leah Virginia III Droze, and Aziel Kemp; thirteen grandchildren; sisters, Kathleen Morgan of Colorado, and Jeanne Weeden of California.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Colleen and Ellen.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory. No visitation or services are scheduled at this time.
