Angela Marie Carhoff, 41, of Burlington, died May 5, 2024, at Southeast Iowa Hospice House.

She was born on Aug. 20, 1982, she was the daughter of Michael and Nancy Miller Gorny. On May 27, 2006, she married Adam Carhoff.

Angela worked as a teacher’s aid for the Burlington School District for 17 years. Before her brain cancer diagnosis, kids at the high school started coming to her for help with geometry. Seeing them succeed was the greatest joy she felt at her job. Angela was a very active person. She enjoyed gardening, her house plants and home improvement projects. She was a devoted wife, mother and sister. She raised her sisters after her mother’s death and raised her sons to be the best they can be and they are a reflection of her.

She is survived by her husband Adam; two sons: Michael and Zachary; two sisters: Samantha Gorny and Mary (Edward) McKenzie. Also surviving are two nieces that she adored: Rylee and Eleanor.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and one brother Michael.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Lunning Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Per her wishes, cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
