James A. “Jim” Brown, 74, of Burlington, died Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at his home. Born February 18, 1950, in Burlington, he was the son of Virrel and Exxa Lou “Peggy” Brown.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and worked for ISC for many years. He was of the Methodist faith.

Jim’s passion was fishing. He enjoyed playing pool and cards.

He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Brown; siblings, David Brown, Jerry Brown, Jane Armstrong, Lou Whitehair; sister-in-law, Rosemary Brown and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dan Brown and step-father Forrest Hunt.

The graveside service and inurnment with military honors for Mr. Brown will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20 in Elmwood Cemetery, Morning Sun.

Cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
