Janet Lucille Asmus, 86, of Middletown, died Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Home Health &amp; Hospice House.
 Born December 14, 1935, in Pleasant Grove, she was the daughter of Fred and Fern Louise Stout Wilkerson. 
 Janet graduated from Danville High School with the class of 1954. 
She married Orrin Asmus on December 18, 1960 in Pleasant Grove, IA. She 
was a resident of Middletown for over 60 years.
 She was a member of the Middletown Presbyterian Church where she 
served as Deacon, Sunday school teacher and vacation bible school 
teacher.
 Janet enjoyed spending time outdoors, her pets, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
 Survivors include her husband, Orrin of Middletown; one daughter, Michele
 (Donald) Neff of West Burlington; three siblings, Becky (Terry) Rodeffer of 
West Burlington, Eileen (Ralph) Kleinkopf of Danville, Fritz Wilkerson 
of Burlington; three grandchildren, Alicia (Matthew), Brandi (Aaron), Justin 
(Samantha); and five great grandchildren Kayla, Dominic, Saige, Maddie and Dean.
 She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
 Cremation has been accorded and entrusted to Lunning Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
 Memorials have been established for the Southeast Iowa Regional Home Health &amp; Hospice House and your animal shelter or rescue of choice.
